Title: DP World Tour: Michael Hollick Wins Thrilling BMW International Open as Brad Dalke Claims Top 30

By Alex Christian |MBCF News — July 5, 2026

South African golfer Michael Hollick secured a dramatic debut victory on the DP World Tour by sinking a brilliant 20-foot eagle putt on the final hole of the BMW International Open. Hollick carded a 5-under-par 67 on Sunday to finish the tournament at 18 under. He narrowly edged out fellow countryman Hennie du Plessis, who held a late lead before a costly bogey on the 17th hole forced him to settle for second place at 17 under. Austria's Bernd Wiesberger finished alone in third place at 14 under par.

The tournament also featured a historic debut from YouTube golf star Brad Dalke. Playing on a sponsor invitation, the popular content creator surged into contention during Friday's second round by shooting an impressive 66. However, the weekend proved physically and mentally demanding. Following a 75 on Saturday, Dalke shot a 1-over 73 on Sunday. His hopes for a top-10 finish faded after hitting into the water twice on the par-5 11th hole, resulting in a triple bogey that dropped him into a tie for 30th place. Dalke is expected to compete on the PGA Tour at the Rocket Mortgage Classic later this month.

MBCF: Analysis

The Structural Shift: While Michael Hollick's stunning final-hole eagle secured the official DP World Tour trophy, the real commercial headline out of Munich was the massive gallery following YouTube creator Brad Dalke. Dalke drew the single largest live crowd of the weekend on Saturday, validating why tour organizers are handing sponsor exemptions to internet personalities.

The Mental Tax of 72 Holes: For your blog audience, the core takeaway is the massive structural gulf between online content matches and tournament-grade golf. Dalke's second-round 66 showcased elite raw talent. However, his weekend fade—highlighted by a water-bound triple bogey on Sunday—illustrates the intense psychological endurance required to compete across four consecutive pressure-filled days against professional tour veterans.

FIA Admits Error in Piastri-Leclerc Incident and Announces Penalty Rule Change By Alex Christian| MBCF News_July 25, 2026 The FIA has agreed to change how penalties are applied after admitting McLaren driver Oscar Piastri was unfairly treated during his clash with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc at the Belgian Grand Prix. On his way to a fifth-place finish, Piastri was attacking Leclerc for a podium position at Les Combes when the pair made contact. Piastri sustained floor damage to his car. Leclerc was investigated but received no penalty. Following a meeting between drivers and FIA stewards, it was agreed that similar incidents in the future will be penalized. The new consensus is that squeezing a rival on corner entry will result in a five-second penalty. The FIA also agreed to show more leniency for incidents that occur immediately after safety car restarts. Quotes: Oscar Piastri, over team radio:   “He didn’t leave enough space.
